Amadeus said it is preparing for the future after its first half of 2025 was characterized by “steady growth.”
“As a company innovating at the forefront of travel technology, we continue to invest decisively for future growth—allocating over €700 million to R&D in the first half of 2025,” said Luis Maroto, president and CEO of Amadeus, in the company’s release.
He continued: “We signed new customers across all our business lines and advanced on several key, industry-transforming implementations, reinforcing our position as the leading technology partner in travel.”

The company reported positive earnings for the second quarter of 2025 on the heels of a profit increase during the first quarter of the year, despite global and economic uncertainty.
Maroto said Thursday the company’s outlook for the year remains the same, despite ongoing uncertainties.
Group revenue increased 5% for the same period versus last year to €1.6 billion. EBITDA rose 5% to €648 million and profit was up 11% at €372 million.
Revenue for the Air IT solutions business was up 6% at €600 million for Q2. Revenue for the hospitality business unit also saw a bump, rising 6% to €267 million. Air distribution rose 9% year-over-year €807 million.
The company said its progress in the first six months of the year was supported by strong operating performance in each of its segments and a steady evolution.
Amadeus highlighted some first half moves as it seeks to position itself for the future growth, as Moaroto said.
The company fostered new relationships, expanded or renewed relationships with Ryanair, Accor for Delphi, London Gatwick, British Airways for Outpayce, BCD Travel and ODIGEO. It announced a strategic partnership with Google, focused on multi-cloud operations, AI innovation and other business collaborations.
That list also includes its Q1 acquisition of ForwardKeys., a provider of travel intelligence solutions, with approximately 100 employees. The acquisition is expected to have a negligible impact on Amadeus’ results in 2025. Amadeus has paid €15.6 million for the acquisition.
