It’s almost a year since Revolut acquired Swifty, an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered travel agent, to help boost its agentic AI capabilities.
Stanislav Bondarenko, a co-founder of Swifty, remains with the fintech company and has been absorbed into Revolut’s lifestyle unit. His mission—to build a tool for flight and hotel booking tool from a single voice message—remains the same.
In an interview in the PhocusWire studio at Phocuswright Europe 2026, he discussed the benefits of being part of a much larger organization, including stability and being able to tap into Revolut’s existing user base.
Bondarenko highlighted the ability to access transaction and behavior data of the fintech company’s millions of customers as a significant advantage in product development.
“There's an insane amount of data in Revolut that can help us build the best product and personalize the product to each single user. That really makes the job, on the one hand, way easier because we know what works and what doesn't from the first steps. On the other hand, it's way more complex as well because you need to make sure to discern signals from noise.”
He went on to discuss AI’s ability to gather data from a traveler’s previous trips and transactions and use that context, "almost [like] mind reading," to remove steps in travel planning.
Bondarenko also said he believes travel booking will not require a chatbot or app in the future and could take place anywhere.
