Artificial intelligence (AI) is already changing how travelers plan, manage and experience trips, but adoption does not mean travelers are ready to hand over full control.
In its new report, Tailored
Horizons, Amadeus examines how travelers in the U.S. view AI-powered personalization, based on a survey of 1,000 travelers, including 500 regular business travelers,
and interviews with executives from Amadeus, Amgine, Hopper and Navan.
The findings show clear appetite for AI tools that save time, provide relevant recommendations, remember preferences and help when plans change. But the report also points
to a limit: Travelers still want transparency, control and human backup, especially when money, booking decisions or disruption management are involved.
For travel providers, the opportunity is not simply to automate the journey. It is to
build AI experiences that are useful, timely and trusted.
