Fliggy, part of Alibaba Group, has introduced FlyAI, a developer platform for building and commercializing travel applications using its recently launched “flyai” skill.
The platform connects to Fliggy’s real-time inventory, enabling developers to integrate live travel data across product categories into AI-powered applications.
The launch follows Fliggy’s introduction of its flyai travel skill earlier this month, designed to plug into AI agent workflows without building booking infrastructure from scratch.
FlyAI extends those capabilities by providing a centralized development environment, including an “experience” module that allows developers to test end-to-end workflows through natural language interactions, from trip planning to booking.
The platform also introduces an affiliate program, enabling developers to earn commissions on bookings made through applications built with the flyai skill.
According to Fliggy, access to large-scale, real-time inventory is critical to moving travel AI from concept to commercial deployment. The company is positioning FlyAI as development infrastructure for AI-based travel applications.
The company is also offering a limited-time package of 5,000 free API calls to users, lowering the barrier to entry for developers testing the platform.
The launch builds on a series of AI initiatives from Fliggy and its parent Alibaba Group, as companies across travel and technology continue to explore how AI agents can move from inspiration and planning into booking.
