Online travel platform Fliggy, which is part of the Alibaba Group, has launched an artificial intelligence (AI) assistant called “AskMe” powered by multiple intelligent agents.
The assistant aims to “emulate the problem-solving and task-execution capabilities of professional travel consultants,” Fliggy said in a statement.
AskMe uses Fliggy's pricing engine and proprietary data, including flights, hotels, attractions and curated experiences, to create personalized, bookable travel itineraries. It is also integrated with Alibaba’s Qwen AI models.
The itineraries include images and product information as well as interactive maps while also enabling users to create their own travel guides and share them across social media.
“Travel is inherently personal, yet planning often involves overwhelming choices across flights, hotels, tickets, ground transportation and activities, leading to decision fatigue,” said Miranda Liu, head of AI product for Fliggy.

“While bespoke travel services remain costly, Fliggy has amassed a vast amount of data on products, destinations, experiences and user reviews. This data, coupled with our proprietary expertise in supply chains and services, is essential for training AI. By applying the strengths of AI, we're turning what was previously perceived as a luxury service into something every traveler can experience.”
AskMe allows voice command and enables real-time edits, including a budget-adjustment feature, with itineraries automatically refreshed after changes.
“Our team meticulously studied human travel consultants’ workflows, embedding their expertise into AskMe’s analysis, execution and decision-making nodes. We’ll continue to refine its industry knowledge for deeper, more empathetic customization while making interactions even smarter. Ultimately, we aim to provide our users with an AI that offers a human touch—one that helps them effortlessly craft their perfect trip,” Liu said.
AskMe is available to Fliggy F5 loyalty scheme members.
Fliggy recently announced that 10% of customer inquiries are now handled by AI and that it has cut the average service time per inquiry by almost 55%.
The travel platform has also equipped travel merchants with an AI publishing tool that can convert Word document itineraries into a publishable format in 60 seconds.
“We envision a future where traditional online travel agencies may give way to omni-intelligent travel agents, which will offer smart and reliable travel services,” said Zhuoran Zhuan, CEO of Fliggy.
“In the travel industry, where supply and service fulfillment are vital, enhancing supply chain quality and ensuring customer satisfaction will remain our priorities.”
