Multi-day tour and activity provider Tourlane is putting a management structure in place that will see the end of its founders jointly running the company.
Julian Stiefel and Julian Weselek have operated as co-CEOs since the Germany-based company's formation in 2016.
But as part of series of measures announced this week, Weselek will be sole CEO of the business and Stiefel will move to a new position of chief growth officer.
Promotions in the company have also been arranged to establish a new C-suite of management roles, including Leah Farmer as chief product and technology officer (previously vice president of product and engineering), Holger Haenecke as chief people officer (previously vice president of people and culture) and Franck Pascault as chief financial officer (previously director of finance).
The company says after a "brief dip" due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Tourlane is gearing up for a return in travel activity.
Weselek says: ""For many industries, the coronavirus has been devastating. For Tourlane, the pandemic was the most severe crisis in our five year history and was extremely challenging for us as a company.
"Overcoming it, and emerging stronger, was only possible through a collective effort by our great team."
The Germany-based company has raised over $100 million in investment capital and curates trips in Europe, the Americas, Africa, Asia, Oceania and the Middle East.
