Australia-based Chaty AI has raised $1.15 million in seed funding as it looks to expand its conversational artificial intelligence (AI) platform for the tours, activities and attractions sector.
Built for operators, the platform aims to address challenges including missed calls, administrative workload and delayed customer responses. It offers an AI-powered virtual phone assistant that can answer questions, access live availability and facilitate bookings.
Alongside the funding announcement, the company also launched a website chatbot that uses the same conversational AI technology as its voice assistant. The chatbot can be embedded into operator websites, allowing businesses to manage customer interactions across multiple channels.
“This funding round is a testament to the shared vision we have with our early investors,” founder James Greig said in a statement. “They didn't just invest in our product, they invested in our vision of a world where tour and attraction operators can provide immediate and consistent service to their customers.”
The startup said in a release its integrations with booking platforms including Rezdy, ROLLER, FareHarbor and Bokun enable operators to drive more direct bookings.
The funding will be used to accelerate product development, grow its engineering team and expand globally, it said.
Chaty AI wants to build an omni-channel conversational AI platform and plans to add email and WhatsApp capabilities in the future, the company said.
