In its latest acquisition, Travelsoft has picked up proQuest Computersysteme GmbH, owner of Germany-based flight fulfillment solution airQuest.
AirQuest is used by German tour operators and European travel companies, automating ticketing, rebookings, cancellations, payments and accounting across “high-volume scheduled air sales.”
“By joining forces, we significantly strengthen our air technology stack and deepen our presence in Germany, one of Europe’s most strategic travel markets,” said Travelsoft founder and CEO Christian Sabbagh.
“This acquisition is a natural step in our ambition to build the reference global platform for travel technology, bringing more automation, efficiency and innovation to our clients.”
Ulrich Sambeth, CEO of proQuest and airQuest, said that joining Travelsoft allows the company to improve its product, benefit from a “global technology ecosystem” and increase value for clients.
“We will continue to operate with the same commitment to quality and reliability, now with the scale and investment capacity of Travelsoft behind us,” Sambeth said.
Travelsoft’s Atcore technology is already connected for German tour operators, and airQuest be gradually connect to other Travelsoft platforms.
According to Travelsoft, clients will benefit from access to a partner that covers the “entire air operations lifecycle,” as well as improved connectivity across distribution channels such as New Distribution Capability.
Last May, Travelsoft made a slew of acquisitions, starting with Eventiz Media Group, owner of travel trade publication L’Echo Touristique. Later that month, the company confirmed it was acquiring three more companies: Atcore, B2B accommodation connectivity provider TravelgateX and Travel Connection Technology.
More recently, Travelsoft announced a strategic partnership with Gekko Gorup and the launch of artificial intelligence search for tourism.
