Ixigo has launched ChatGPT apps for its ixigo, AbhiBus and ConfirmTkt platforms.
The company said Tuesday that users can search flights, hotels, trains and buses through ChatGPT before seamlessly booking on ixigo’s respective branded apps or website.
As travelers increasingly rely on artificial intelligence (AI) when planning trips, the launch adds ixigo to a growing group of brands launching ChatGPT apps. These include eDreams ODIGEO, Expedia, Almosafer, Booking.com, Skyscanner, Accor and Lighthouse.
According to ixigo, users can search domestic and international flights, compare hotel options, browse intercity bus routes and check train availability.
Ixigo said the apps also support live flight status, including gate changes, baggage claim details and check-in counter updates.
According to Rajnish Kumar, group co-CEO and Aloke Bajpai, group CEO, both at ixigo, “We’re reimagining how travel planning, search and bookings can leverage horizontal AI platforms.
“By bringing ixigo apps to ChatGPT … over a billion monthly users of ChatGPT can now go from a simple question to a complete travel plan with real-time insights, live tracking and booking options—all within one conversation and in seconds.”
The company said the tools also support broader travel searches, such as destination-based hotel queries and flexible-date flight planning. It also said users can compare bus options by category, including budget and electric vehicle routes, and search rail options through ConfirmTkt.
The launch follows news in February of ixigo’s expanded partnership with OpenAI. The collaboration was expected to accelerate deployment of autonomous agents, AI-assisted workflows and other applications.
