Leaders from across the global hospitality industry are gathered this week in Indianapolis at HITEC, the Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference. The event has more than 360 exhibitors showcasing the latest innovations, product
offerings and updates for the industry.
Here is a roundup of some of the notable news from exhibitors:
- Duetto launched its Revenue & Profit Operating System in an effort to “bring
together all revenue and profit tools in one place,” including pricing, forecasting,
reporting, group optimizations loyalty and profit insights. Powered by automation
and artificial intelligence (AI), the revenue management software company said
the platform will unify all revenue streams for hotels. The company also introduced GameTime—a revenue management
system (RMS) built specifically for select-service chains and enterprise hotel brands with limited-service properties—as well as profit insights with HotStats and a
renewed version of its pricing recommendation system, Advance, now powered by
AI.
- Zucchetti North
America launched Lybra Assistant, an RMS to increase hotels’ control of
revenue strategy. The RMS is already being used by over 1,600 hotels in Europe,
and Zucchetti noted the software is ideal for properties that have over 20 rooms. The Lybra Assistant algorithm anticipates future demand by analyzing flight
searches, making revenue management simpler “by tracking real-time pick-up
trends, monitoring competitor rates and receiving data-backed price
recommendations for the next 365 days.”
- Hospitality booking technology company RealTime Reservation announced
a partnership with spa management company Trilogy Spa Holdings. The booking
platform will rollout at The Plaza Hotel in New York City later this month
and will continue with a phased integration at Trilogy Spa’s locations over the next 12 to 18 months.
- Agilysys debuted
new solutions and embedded technology, including a booking agent called
Agilysys Book with S.P.E.N.D. (Stay Package Entitlement, New Dynamic booking), a
data solution called Intelligent Guest Profile and IG Fly Mobile POS with FreedomPay
Integration, a mobile ordering, payment and receipt printing solution. The
company said these solutions “reflect Agilysys’ continued leadership in
delivering modern, connected experiences.”
- RMS launched its
booking engine to improve the customer experience across different devices,
including smartphones and laptops. The company said the platform “lays the
foundation for AI-driven guest journeys,” as it allows properties to handle inquiries,
apply discounts and process payments by plugging in chatbots on their website
or through other messaging services. RMS Pay is also fully integrated into the
platform.
- Oracle reported a 31%
year-over-year increase in properties using its Opera Cloud property management
system, noting that its partners include Hyatt, Omni and Orascom Hotels Management, among others.
Laura Calin, senior vice president of Oracle Hospitality, said Opera Cloud and its
AI workflows “empower hotels to optimize their operations, delight guests and
ultimately thrive in a competitive market.”
- Nomadix showcased a new energy
management solution (EMS) and an internet gateway model, the EG 5K. The EMS,
launched last week, is digitally secure and operates on cloud-native
architecture with connection to smart wireless thermostats. The EG 5K, which
launched this week, targets the midsize segment and aims to provide secure and
reliable Wi-Fi on properties where many users share the same guest, visitor or
resident network, the company said.
- Relay launched RelayM, a compact 5G device for
hospitality teams. The company said the new offering “bridges the gap” between its
existing tech, Relay+ and RelayX. Its small size allows RelayM to be worn on a
lanyard or clipped to a shirt, making it a convenient option for housekeepers
and mobile staff. The tool integrates communication, location awareness and
panic alerting and also offers AI-powered Team Translate, which enables
multilingual communication in real time.
- Phunware unveiled new AI features for its mobile hospitality solution to streamline operations. The app "empowers hoteliers to deliver seamless, intuitive and personalized guest experiences," the company said. It offers property-wide navigation, real-time offers and targeted messaging.
