Holiday rentals provider Awaze has unveiled a ChatGPT app as part of its annual £45 million investment.
The app, which initially features the Cottages.com brand, enables travelers to use conversational search to find suitable properties with live availability and pricing. Bookings are completed through the Cottages.com website.
U.K.-based Awaze, whose brands include Hoseasons and James Villas, said the initiative uses its data and machine learning capabilities.
The company said the launch is part of its annual investment in technology and artificial intelligence (AI) that aims to modernize front-end systems and bring data and machine learning models to all its brands.
Awaze has also unveiled eight new iOS and Android consumer apps and introduced an internal “AI Champions” program to ensure employees beyond technology teams make the most of the technology.
“AI is changing how customers discover and book holidays, and demand for AI-powered planning tools is growing rapidly,” said Matthew Price, CEO of Awaze. “Our annual investment in technology and AI learning tools gives us the foundations to enhance the search and booking experience for guests, while strengthening the tools and pricing capabilities that support our property owners.”
Price said the company would always have humans available to help customers and property owners but said: “leveraging technology to make the booking journey even easier has always been a priority.”
