Just three days after former-parent company Expedia filed a complaint about Google to the European Commission, TripAdvisor has waded in with its own.
The wording of an emailed statement from TripAdvisor is remarkably similar to that issued by Expedia yesterday, arguing that Google is harming the web "marketplace and consumer welfare" with allegations of unfair practices.

"We hope that the Commission takes prompt corrective action to ensure a healthy and competitive online environment that will foster innovation across the internet."
TripAdvisor's addition to the row follows that of Microsoft, which has been complaining about the search giant's dominance on the web in Europe for some time.
Commission officials are poised to decide this month whether to proceed with an official case against Google, Bloomberg claims today.
What has become clearer in the past 24 hours is that Expedia and TripAdvisor's entry into the row is being coordinated by the FairSearch anti-Google lobbying group, based in the US but with operations now up and running in Europe.
Both Expedia and TripAdvisor are members of the organisation, alongside the likes of Kayak, Sabre, Travelocity and a number of Europe-based web companies.
Precise details of the both complaints have not been revealed.
