Alibaba's latest addition to its travel industry product suite is China's B2B air fare service provider Aslan, according to a source familiar with the acquisition.
The company has not responded to request for comment.
The terms of the deal are not known, however, local media reports the deal to be in the region of $11 to $13 million.
Founded in 2004, the Shanghai-based company, also has a consumer-facing website - Cfly - for flight bookings.
Aslan services has been integrated with Alibaba's Taobao marketplace, an eBay-like service in China, according to the source.
The domain registration information fot both Aslan and Cfly reflects a change to the servers of Taobao.
Alibaba has already made a number of investments in Chinese online travel industry. Recently, it also announced its plan to go public in the US market.
