European rental technology platform Holidu has raised €46 million in funding and acquired Cybevasion, the operator of France rental portals Gites.fr and Chambres-hotes.fr, for an undisclosed amount.
The growth equity for the Germany-based company comes from Key1 Capital, a new investor in the business, and existing investors, including Vintage Investment Partners, Prime Ventures and 83North, were also involved.
Founded in 2014, Holidu said the funding would go towards accelerating its artificial intelligence (AI) roadmap, expanding its property management software (PMS) business and further expansion in strategic markets.
The acquisition of Cybevasion strengthens Holidu’s presence in France and is the company’s eighth acquisition to date. It announced the acquisition of Finca Mallorca early this year and acquired Clubrural and Ferienwohnungen.de in 2024.
Cybevasion, founded in 1998, adds more than 35,000 properties and 20 million annual unique visitors to Holidu’s platform.

Holidu said that the acquisition would benefit French hosts through Holidu’s PMS technology, which includes online booking, automated payments and price recommendations. Existing Holidu partners will benefit from enhanced distribution through Cybevasion’s sites.
“France is already one of Holidu’s fastest-growing markets. By combining Cybevasion’s beloved brands with our tech and local service teams, we’re giving tens of thousands of French hosts an express lane to higher occupancy and international visibility—while delivering a better booking journey for guests,” said Johannes Siebers, co-founder and CEO of Holidu.
Cybevasion founder Jean-Louis Desouche will stay on to lead the business, with the company’s employees also expected to stay on.
“I had long been searching for a way to modernize our system and better meet the expectations of today’s travelers, who increasingly expect instant bookings and quick replies,” he said. “With Holidu’s strong presence across Europe, I’ve found a solution that is innovative, intuitive and truly centered on the customer.”
Holidu also said it plans to “double down on agentic experiences,” having seen a significant reduction in required customer support following the launch of its first artificial agent for guests.
“By accelerating AI across the stack, we’re delivering better service at lower cost and scaling in ways that were unthinkable just a few years ago,” said Michael Siebers, co-founder and chief technology officer of Holidu.
Holidu announced €100 million in Series E funding led by 83North in October 2019. It said at the time that the investment would enable it to open local offices and expand in existing markets.
