Airline retailing systems specialist CitizenPlane has acquired revenue management (RM) technology from Yieldin in a move that brings the two companies together.
No terms were disclosed, but CitizenPlane renamed the solution Pulse and said the additional module boosts the development of its offer system alongside its existing Zenith passenger service system (PSS) and distribution modules.
“Bringing this revenue management expertise in-house was essential to support our air retailing vision, particularly around the development of the offer module of the airline operating system.” said Hadrien Musitelli, co-founder and CEO of CitizenPlane.
“With Pulse, we can deliver powerful revenue-optimization capabilities to our clients immediately and also invest heavily in the offer management innovation that will accelerate our longer-term roadmap.”
Pulse is said to be an agnostic revenue management solution that can operate with any PSS. The technology connects with airline inventory systems to help carriers optimize yield by adjusting pricing to market conditions.
CitizenPlane, which acquired airline software provider Travel Technology Interactive in August 2024, said it works with about 80 airlines globally and has teams across France, Singapore and Panama.
"CitizenPlane’s vision for a modular, next-gen airline OS aligns perfectly with our belief in smart, transparent revenue management,” said Laurent Lebard, president of Yieldin.
“Joining forces allows us to bring our RM expertise to a broader market and build new tools that meet the needs of today’s and tomorrow’s airlines.”
Yieldin secured an undisclosed venture round back in 2021, with Ireland’s Team ABC acquiring 20% of the company.
