Sunshine.co.uk has finally unveiled its major push to take on the cruise sector with the launch of BonVoyage today.
The site has been planned "for a couple of years", bosses admit, although this is primarily because not all cruise operators had the technology to allow consumers to book online.
Every tour listed is bookable online, rather than many other OTAs with cruise product which provide plenty of details and information for users but then stall the process with a enquiry form or telephone number to complete the purchase.
Visitors can view deck plans and select the cabin they wish to stay in, if available, with the design of the site given a "familiar" feel more suited to a hotel or flight booking agency.
Co-founder Chris Clarkson says:

"The choosing your cabin from the deck plan was where we started from in terms of the site design/process. Ideally we want a user to come onto the site and be able to book, without really thinking that there's anything special about it."
Other content on the site includes videos of ships and ports, excursion information as well as the ability to add extra nights to a stay in destination hotels.
Product range is initially restricted to P&O Cruises and Cunard, with other major players such as Princess Cruises, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises and MCS Cruises expected to be added shortly.
The launch of BonVoyage is the latest effort from founders Clarkson and Chris Brown, following the launch of Sunshine.co.uk and AirportTransfers in recent years.
The pair's first take on the travel industry was the user generated content brand HolidayWatchdog, which was eventually sold to TripAdvisor.
The site is not affiliated with the Bon-Voyage tour operator brand.
