Ryanair is giving passengers a sneak peak of its much touted new website which on first glance seems clean with an improved user experience.
The low-cost carrier has been talking about it for almost a year now promising back in March that it would be nothing like a traditional airline's digital presence.
At the time, marketing chief Kenny Jacobs said the airline was looking at the user experience and models more commonly associated with non-travel online retailers.
It's unclear whether the new site will be phased in and as things stand there is no sign of the meta functionality talked about by chief executive Michael O'Leary in the Summer.
He said the airline had written to the chiefs of the "other four big airlines" in Europe asking them to reciprocate but had not received a response at the time.
So far, the Beta version of the website seems quick with flights easy to get to even without signing into the MyRyanair personalised area of the site.
The process of selecting added extras - seats, insurance, priority boarding - doesn't seem as cumbersome to get through.
Interesting to note that currently users clicking on the hotels button are linked to Booking.com with an "in partnership with Ryanair" note at the top. In the past the airline has had Ryanair Hotels.
Ryanair Car Hire meanwhile comes via its recent tie-up with CarTrawler after it axed its agreement with Hertz earlier this year.
Meanwhile, a message on the mobile version of the site says the airline is still working on it but users are still allowed access to the work in progress. Ryanair said in March that it would be mobile-first by the end of 2015.
Aer Lingus had also been teasing a new site in recent weeks with users given the option to try the new service or stick with the old version.
Tnooz has asked the airline for more details on the site's launch and further phases.
