Bookingkit is the latest vendor in tours and activities to partner with Google so that travelers can secure products via search and maps.
The Berlin-based business, which announced its latest round of funding in March 2019, says Reserve with Google will enable suppliers to connect with customers and allow them to book and pay for experiences.
Through Bookingkit’s integration with Reserve with Google, suppliers will appear in search results with website details, price information and availability.
Lukas Hempel, founder and managing director of Bookingkit says: ”Tour and activity providers must be easy to find in the digital world, otherwise they will not be booked. Through the connection to Google, we provide the end customer with a smooth booking experience.”
Bookingkit joins a raft of other tours and activities distribution specialists with partnerships with Google including Peek, Checkfront and Tiqets.
Jason Morehouse, chief executive of Checkfront says: “Reserve with Google is an interesting addition to an already complex online distribution landscape.
"Regardless of how you look at the complicated relationship between Google and online travel agencies — who happen to be some of Google’s largest advertising customers — we see this as an exciting option for our suppliers.”
He adds that Google’s entry into tours and activities is a sure sign of the market’s continued growth.

Google is addressing the sector from a number of angles, including its Touring Bird and Google Trips apps.
Tiqets announced a similar partnership in September 2018 building on its existing work with the Google Trips app.
Robert Westers, chief operating officer of the Netherlands-based business, says the experience has been good so far with the channel bringing additional sales for suppliers.
He adds that suppliers are also asking for more insight around conversion and that Tiqets is discussing this with Google.
The distribution specialists also say they're looking forward to testing further developments from Google but the search giant says there is nothing to disclose yet.
The Bookingkit connection to Reserve with Google is expected to go live in the second quarter of 2019.
Research released by Trekksoft earlier this year revealed Google Trips as having the second best return for businesses after Viator.
