Skyscanner has created an integration with Trello, a visual organization
and collaboration platform, that connects Trello users to Skyscanner’s database
of flight information.
Travel Planner by Skyscanner is a free “Power-Up” within
Trello that connects to Skyscanner’s API to provides access to information such
as pricing based on day or month of travel, suggestions on how far in advance
to book and typical ticket price for specific destinations.
Clicking on the search results redirects Trello users to the
Skyscanner website to complete the booking process.
“We understand the needs of today’s travelers as they are at
the heart of everything that we do at Skyscanner,” says Hugh Aitken, senior director
strategic partnerships at Skyscanner.

“This latest collaboration with Trello is a great example of
how when our technology is integrated with a partner’s platform, we create
exciting travel solutions that add even more value to travelers during the
planning experience.”
Trello’s platform is based on “boards” that users create to
manage projects or topics, such as an upcoming trip, and each board can contain
cards, similar to digital Post-it notes.
These cards can be used to store
booking numbers, hotel addresses, itineraries and other trip information.
Multiple users can collaborate on a shared board.
Trello users can access the Travel Planner by Skyscanner
Power-Up on desktop and mobile.
