Tripkicks, a technology solution that
gives business travelers rewards for choosing policy-compliant and
budget-conscious options for their trips, is adding a sustainability-based
redemption option.
Called Tripkicks
Green Initiative, the new offering allows travelers to use their rewards to
purchase carbon offsets.
Companies can also purchase
offsets using the net savings generated by their employees using the Tripkicks
platform.

“The whole concept around
sustainability and being more environmentally friendly has gone from being one
of many considerations for a travel program to really being a key one,” says
Jeff Berk, CEO of Tripkicks, which launched in late 2018.
“We’ve seen it move really quickly,
and it’s continuing to do so.”
Berk says New York-based Tripkicks is working with several third-party companies that provide offset
services, such as planting trees and building wind farms.
In the
future, he says the company will add more sustainability-focused incentives and
redemption offerings.
Along with
carbon offsets, Tripkicks rewards can be redeemed for things such as cash, gift
cards, charitable donations and travel perks.
