Circadian-based jet lag app Timeshifter has raised additional capital bringing the company’s total funding to $5.3 million.
The raise was led by Skip Capital and included participation from additional independent investors including Nico Rosberg, a Formula 1 world champion, and Brian Kelly, founder of The Points Guy.
While the funding will accelerate expansion into healthcare and shift work, Mickey Beyer-Clausen, co-founder and CEO of Timeshifter, told PhocusWire the company remains fully committed to the jet lag vertical.
Beyer-Clausen said the company is planning to release a “major update” to the jet lag app. He said changes will include an improved UX, more education and additional features this year.
Timeshifter said that 130,000 post-flight surveys revealed 96.4% of travelers who stuck to Timeshifter's guidance did not experience "severe" or "very severe" jet lag.
The company partners with airlines and hotels including Lufthansa, SWISS, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Austrian Airlines and United Airlines, with which it expanded a partnership in November.
Timeshifter raised $2 million in 2021, having previously raised $1.5 million since its 2018 launch.
