The private accommodation
market has been evolving for years.
It originated with resort and vacation
homes, then grew to include room and apartment rentals and in recent years there’s
been a rapid uptake of property management companies – according to Phocuswright, 50% of homeowners now use a property manager, up from 10% in 2015.
So what changes will the
sector see in the next few years?
At The Phocuswright Conference
in Florida this week, a panel of executives from across the market took part in a panel discussion with Phocuswright analyst Mike Coletta:
- Vacasa CEO Eric Breon
- Guesty CEO Amiad Soto
- Inspirato
founder and chairman Brad Handler
- Airbnb vice president and general manager
of professional host and luxury businesses, Clara Liang
