Phocuswright named Allianz Partners the People’s Choice Award winner at the Phocuswright Innovation Platform program Launch: EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) at Phocuswright Europe last week in Barcelona.
Allianz took the stage to present its product Allyz, a free, consumer-focused app, which aims to reinvent the end-to-end traveler journey with artificial intelligence assistance, services and protection in one ecosystem.
Four innovators—Allianz, Apaleo, Companjon and Maya—took part in the competition, presenting how they might transform the travel industry in front of a panel of judges.
Judges included:
- Guido Becher, global head of travel and loyalty, Rappi
- Manuel Hilty, CEO and co-founder, Nezasa
- Piero Sierra, chief product officer, Skyscanner
- Cara Whitehill, vice president, Thayer Investment Partners
According to Phocuswright, 662 innovators had taken the stage at Phocuswright, collectively raising $12.4 billion, as of February. Upwards of 500 of those companies raised funds, and more than 130 were acquired.
The innovators that took part in last week’s competition and alumni are listed here.
