Below, we asked founder and CEO Tom Romary to discuss strategic goals for 2026 and what he's learned since founding.
Strategic goals for 2026
In 2026, BizTrip AI will focus on solidifying its position as the leading agentic AI platform for enterprise companies seeking to streamline their corporate travel management program. Key strategic goals include expanding product capabilities around complex itinerary change management, launching more enterprise clients and building solutions for more TMCs and OBTs so that BizTrip's itinerary planning and re-shopping capabilities can be used by even more travelers in the corporate travel ecosystem. By demonstrating the ability to automate complex tasks such as itinerary changes, fare optimization and to support policy compliance, BizTrip will further differentiate itself as an indispensable “personal travel assistant” for companies and on-the-go executives.
We’ll also be investing in the build of advanced analytics and dashboard tools, enabling businesses to easily track savings, optimize program policy, and gauge traveler satisfaction—combining intelligent automation with actionable insights for high-volume business travel programs.
Lessons learned since founding
Having previously co-founded Yapta in 2007, a pioneering airfare and hotel price tracking service that was acquired by Coupa in 2019, there have been many lessons carried forward to BizTrip AI. At a fundamental level, there may be nothing more important than listening to your customers. We worked closely with the travel managers at large enterprise organizations, like Moderna, and with TMCs such as Colorado-based Cain Travel. The input and feedback we received from them was critical to our product development and continues to guide much of our roadmap for future features and functionality.
Secondly, I’ve learned to surround myself with a winning team. BizTrip AI is anchored by co-founder and CTO, Scott Persinger, a renowned agentic AI innovator, and backed by the AI Fund, a venture studio led by AI luminary, Andrew Ng. Rob Solomon, an innovator and pioneer in travel technology and marketplace businesses over the past 25 years, as well as a network of other travel industry and technology advisors, have also assisted the development of BizTrip AI, including Mike Daly, Valerie Layman, Eric Bailey, Dave Falter, Andy McGraw, Christopher Zando, Susan Pieper and Tom Kippola.
