Hospitality data intelligence provider OTA Insight has secured a major funding round - $20 million - in a bid to grow the company faster on a global basis.
The round was led by Eight Roads Ventures and saw participation from F-Prime Capital Partners and some of its previous, unnamed backers.
The U.K.-based company was created in 2012 and has since grown to claim 16,000 properties on its books from over 130 countries around the world.
The core product is a revenue management platform that allows hotels, hostels and vacation rentals to analyze the market through rate intelligence, channel optimization, ratings, demand forecasting, pricing and reviews.

OTA Insight says it will use the funding to invest in engineering as well as bolster the company's business development and marketing teams.
Michael Treskow from Eight Roads will join the company's board of directors as a result of the investment.
