Lots of talk of travel brands arming their staff with Google Glass to help with services - but what about giving customers a pair, too?
The Abadía Retuerta LeDomaine, a Spanish five star hotel, gives guests a pair of Google Glass goggles so that they can get more out of a tour of the 900-year old property, known for his art collection and architecture.
They can obviously also use the device for taking photos during their stay at the hotel, making videos, phone calls, browse the web, etc, as well as watching a video about the hotel.
When a guest checks out of the hotel any files stored on the device are downloaded to a memory stick for them to take away.
The hotel says it will new apps (to the Glass service) as and when they become available.
Managing director of Abadía Retuerta LeDomaine, Andres Araya, says:

"Google Glass is the next step in our complete transformation from an ancient and storied abbey to a sophisticated modern hotel offering the highest level of luxury and service in a sublime historic ambiance.
"With Google Glass, we are introducing our guests to an exciting new 21st-century experience in a 12th-century setting.”
Recent examples of Google Glass usage in travel industry include Virgin Atlantic's deployment of Glass to receive its guests, Starwood's app for Glass, and Spanish OTA Destinia's app (for Glass) to book a nearby hotel.
