British Airways, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines are among carriers to sign up to the NDC Exchange platform.
The platform, which was developed by SITA and ATPCO to help drive adoption of the NDC standard, enables API connections between airlines and travel sellers including GDSs and travel agents.
Additional airlines now participating in NDC Exchange include Finnair and LATAM Group carriers.
The platform enables shopping, booking and selling of ancillary products and services between airlines as well as between carriers and sellers.
The technology allows airlines and travel sellers to exchange messages easily regardless of version or format.
In a statement, Graham Wareham, director of products and solutions at ATPCO, says the addition of the five carriers makes NDC Exchange a “compelling part of the NDC ecosystem.”

Technology suppliers participating in NDC Exchange include Atriis, Serko, Verteil Technologies and Innfinity Software Systems.
The platform also has Level 3 NDC Certification.
