European startup Everbread appears to have started well with news emerging that it has signed a significant agreement with price comparison giant Cheapflights.
Details are sketchy at the moment but the young company [TLabs profile], headed by ex-Skype investor Morten Lund, is expected to plug its Haystack technology into the main Cheapflights system to ensure that the existing advertising deals are dynamic - in other words: effectively making what was once a reasonably static-system live.
The partnership will begin initially on the Cheapflights system in the US, as part of a marketing initiative, with the ability to extend to its other country markets such as the UK, Australia and Canada in due course.
In background briefings a few weeks ago, Everbread touted its system as being perfect for intermediaries as it enabled fast and live pricing.
However it appears that its lack of booking capability (at the moment) may be restrictive - too many systems already for intermediaries to handle - and therefore the technology is probably more likely to picked up by metasearch and price comparison.
And so it appears...
Further details are expected to be revealed in the coming days.
