British photographer Rob Whitworth has made a tourism video of Barcelona, which he calls a work of "flow motion."
Whitworth used time lapse photography to condense the 26,014 photos he recently shot of Barcelona into a film that's only two minutes long.
Given that the two-minute clip condenses 78 hours of footage, he also calls it a "hyper-lapse."
Catalan Tourism (Agència Catalana de Turisme) was smart enough to sponsor the artist's video, including granting him access to key sights.
Too often, tourism offices micro-manage projects. But officials in Barcelona thought it would be more effective to piggyback on the inspiration of an artist, especially one who already has an award-winning record and is widely admired.
The video on the Vimeo sharing platform, has been played 718,000 times since it appeared three weeks ago.
It features Barcelona's renowned interiors and exteriors, such as at Parque Güell, the Cathedral designed by Antoni Gaudí, and a funicular crossing the city's skyline.
Here it is, "Barcelona Go!"
