Last month, we dug deep into issues surrounding travel's metasearch players, and an executive from one such company took to the main stage at the 2018 Phocuswright Conference to discuss what has helped it survive and thrive - so far.
In a conversation with PhocusWire editor in chief Kevin May, Skyscanner CEO Bryan Dove says he believes there's a "100%" chance another company could come along and disrupt what the meta platform has built.
"When a company achieves success when it begins to scale its at its own peril to start to become complacent to start to rest on its laurels," he says.
In addition to potential disruptions in the space, Dove also discusses the mobile landscape and how his job, which he assumed in May, has been as a first-time CEO, as well as Skyscanner's relationship to parent company Ctrip and with its online travel agency customers.
