Jayride
says it connects about 500,000 travelers a year to 3,300 ride-hail brands, limo
and chauffeur services and shuttle buses at more than 1,500 airports in more
than 100 countries.
It operates both B2C and B2B models with an API that
distribute rides through partners such as Flight Centre, Expedia, Skyscanner
and Rome2rio.
Founder
and CEO Rod Bishop says the company is on a mission to become “travelers’ trusted
global transport brand,” and the new funding will help the company work toward
that goal.
“This
is fundamentally a product and technology task and the funds will go to our
technology advantage - streamlining the process for new transport companies to optimize
their rates and coverage so that travelers always get the best deal and
streamlining the booking and pickup journey for travelers so that every
possible traveler touch point is seamless, self-service, automated and ‘just
works’,” Bishop says in an email.
