Hospitality tech companies DigitalGuest and Chicostay have merged, now operating under the DigitalGuest identity.
The companies said they will provide “one unified platform covering the guest journey from pre-stay through post-stay, designed to simplify operations, generate new revenue streams and elevate guest satisfaction.”
In the future, DigitalGuest plans to become a “key strategic partner” for hotels, specifically in digitalization and merchandising. The new platform will give hotels access to a range of guest-facing capabilities, including digital check-in, checkout and payments, housekeeping and room services, communication and personalized marketing and upselling opportunities, among others.

Founded in 2016, DigitalGuest is based in Denmark and currently serves over 500 hotels across the Nordics and Europe, the company said. Chicostay, founded in 2014, previously provided hospitality solutions in the U.K. and Swedish markets.
“As a current hotel owner, I know the challenges of managing complex tech stacks while still trying to deliver a high-quality guest experience,” said Jens Rysgaard, outgoing CEO of DigitalGuest.
“With this merger, we can now give independent hotels a simpler, more consolidated solution that reduces complexity and creates even more value. This is a major step forward for both our customers and our team.”
Tony Barker, incoming CEO of the newly merged company and former CEO of Chicostay, added that the deal allows DigitalGuest to “give hotels the tools to simplify operations.”
“This merger also brings together strong competencies and a shared mindset. We expect continued growth as hotels increasingly realize these services are as essential as housekeeping. It’s also a cultural fit—both organizations bring a positive and forward-looking culture, and together we will only strengthen that,” Barker said.
