Sabre’s newly outlined vision to reshape the business of travel includes not only solutions for its airline customers, but also for hoteliers.
To that end, at its Technology Exchange event last week, the travel technology company announced updates to its enterprise platform SynXis, including the launch of the brand-new SynXis Property Hub.

Sabre says the hub functions as a guest-focused property management system that places a greater emphasis on personalization. Based in the cloud, SynXis Property Hub is designed specifically with mobile in mind to allow hotel staff easy access to traveler information across devices.
“It’s clear that guests have an expectation for a personalized experience across devices and touch points, and hoteliers are searching for scalable ways to transform the guest experience through technology,” says Clinton Anderson, president of Sabre Hospitality Solutions.
“This has proven to be a challenge for properties using legacy, disparate systems for hotel distribution and property management.”
Leveraging CRS data
Anderson says the new hub - in addition to the upgraded SynXis Booking Engine and Voice Agent - leverages information from the SynXis central reservation system to “connect the dots as customers shop, book and travel, resulting in a much more robust picture of the guest and greater opportunity for personalizing offers and amenities.”
Updates to the Booking Engine include dynamic personalization to help travelers find what they’re looking for, while the Voice Agent’s interface for phone support staff received an overhaul.
Next for the enterprise platform will be the rollout of the SynXis Guest Experience later this year, which Sabre says will contain a “golden copy of every guest profile” across the CRS, the property hub and third-party systems; Sabre is working with CRM provider Cendyn on the project, which was announced last month.
And for travel agents...
Last week Sabre also announced updates for its travel agency customers through the Sabre Red workspace: The point-of-sale tool is now available in English, German, Spanish and Japanese, and French, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese versions will follow.
The product is designed to increase travel agent productivity through rich content and data.
