Phocuswright, sister brand of PhocusWire, has appointed Charuta Fadnis, as senior vice president for research and product strategy.
She had previously been an analyst with Phocuswright from 2014 to 2016. Lorraine Sileo, after 21 years leading the practice she founded, has decided to step back from the day-to-day operations into an advisory role with the company.
Fadnis's role is to continue to bring fresh ideas and new methodologies to Phocuswright’s industry-leading research operation.
She will join the senior leadership team and will lead a strong group of research analysts that produce a range of travel-related projects, including syndicated and custom publications, reports and presentations.
Pete Comeau, Phocuswright’s senior vice president for strategy and operations, says: "With Charuta joining the team, we are thrilled to welcome back a skilled leader and product strategist with strong travel industry knowledge and research acumen. She will be instrumental in guiding our research practice into the future and ensuring that Phocuswright continues to offer highly actionable insights and the most innovative research products.
"Phocuswright research is the industry’s gold standard and throughout my career, I have relied on their data and analysis to help guide strategic decisions.” says Fadnis. "I look forward to leading the company’s well-respected research practice and the fantastic team of analysts with unmatched knowledge of the industry."
Fadnis most recently led product strategy, planning and analytics for BCD Travel’s client-facing platform. Prior to this, she headed the research team that powers BCD’s thought leadership initiatives.
Her expertise lies in uncovering and applying technological and market trends to strategy, product development and marketing. She is a sought-after public speaker and has presented to large audiences at forums such as the Phocuswright conference, GBTA and ACTE Global.
Alongside her earlier role at Phocuswright, her broad experience includes stints at American Airlines and Egencia.
