A couple of things standout in this AVG infographic, some perhaps more obvious than others.
It reminds us, for example, of useful/useless (you decide) facts such as there are now more than 2.4bn users of the internet (1bn in 2005) and the number of viruses that have marred its progress along the way.
It also demonstrates that although the likes of Google (1998), Facebook (2004), YouTube (2005) and Twitter (2006) are the perceived giants of today, they're still pretty young companies and there has been a bit of debate recently (and here) about whether they'll even be around in say, 10 years time.
Anyway, you can draw your own conclusions from all this.
