Flyr Labs has acquired airline e-commerce specialist Newshore for an undisclosed sum.
Spain-based Newshore helps airlines improve the customer experience and boost online direct sales through its e-commerce, customer management and content management technology.
The company's services include an online booking engine, customer messaging platform and disruption management tool.
Enric Puig, co-founder and CEO of Newshore, says: “By leveraging Flyr’s advanced, revenue-optimal pricing for fares and ancillaries, we will enable airlines to sell more tickets and maximize total revenues. Our understanding of every customer will enrich Flyr's deep learning models, so that customers can be provided with the right product at the right price in the right channel.”

Alex Mans, founder and CEO of FLYR, says: “By linking Newshore's capabilities with FLYR’s unmatched expertise in real-time, AI-driven forecasting and pricing, we will unlock the potential dynamic offers across the entire customer journey from decision and pricing to sale and distribution.”
The acquisition is Flyr’s fourth in the past year after it announced it had acquired Faredirect and xCheck last September and later added Bonanza to the stable.
The airline revenue operating platform also landed Series C funding of $150 million around the same time, which it said would go towards strategic acquisitions as well as technology development.
In a recent Q&A with PhocusWire, Mans provided further details of Flyr’s acquisition strategy as well as his wider vision for the company.
