Delhi-based startup Holidify has received a $100,000 investment in a round led by the Gogri family which runs India's Aarti Group.
The funding also included participation from Naman Sarawagi, founder of price comparison service FindYogi and Himanshu Sarawagi.
Aarti Industries has invested in startups before including education newbie Plancess and clothing retailer Bewakoof.
Holidify launched last year to help users plan trips by providing information on where to go via a recommendation engine.
The service offers relevant results by user's location and preferences including top things to do, places to visit, how to get there, where to eat etc.
This is the company's first funding, which will be diverted to technology and content expansion, and it says it is in talks with venture capitalists for a further raise.
Recent milestones for the startup include the launch of a mobile app in June.
The company says monthly visitors are around 500,000 and that it has experienced a ten-fold growth in the past year.
