RIDE-SHARE RIVAL: Michelle DeBella will join Lyft as vice president of finance strategy. DeBella comes to the ride-share app from its rival Uber, where she was the global head of internal audit. At Lyft, she will be responsible for meeting the company’s scaling objectives and systematically reviewing its operations. BUSINESS TRAVEL BETS: Mark McSpadden has joined American Express Global Business Travel as vice president of global product strategy and digital experience. McSpadden, who previously served as vice president of direct distribution and digital experience at Sabre, will be tasked with delivering against GBT’s product roadmap and working with the commercial team to drive its technology value proposition with clients. He will report directly to Evan Konwiser, vice president of product strategy and marketing.
NEW AND NOTEWORTHY: Kiwi.com has appointed Ben Smith as director of global operations. In the newly created role, Smith, who previously served as Kiwi.com senior operations manager, will provide operational and strategic support to numerous teams and ensure comprehensive leadership of the global operations area. Prior to Kiwi.com, Smith held positions at G4S and Arcus FM; he will report directly to chief customer officer Kamil Jagodzinski.
