Artificial intelligence (AI)-powered travel booking platform VBooking has secured $5 million in funding.
The UAE-based company said the fresh capital will be used for expansion and to develop an AI concierge tool using natural voice integration. VBooking also confirmed plans to integrate with augmented reality-enabled tools and automation engines.
“We are not just developing a booking platform; we are building a complete smart travel ecosystem that redefines the relationship between the traveler, the travel agent and the service provider,” said VBooking founder and CEO Omeri Abu Madi.
Additionally, VBooking is developing a digital currency called Travel USD, which is anticipated to launch in the second quarter of 2026. According to the company, the currency addresses the travel sector's challenge of high cross-border transaction fees and banking commissions.
“This will enable users to execute instant, commission-free payments, aiming to enhance financial efficiency,” the company said.
Founded in 2015, VBooking helps travelers book complete trips through travel experts, also offering itinerary planning and customer relationship management tools. The company says it is “designed exclusively for B2B partners,” assisting travel agencies, destination management companies and corporate travel providers with operations and sales.
