Companjon
Dublin-based Companjon, which was founded in 2020 and specializes in embedded insurance solutions, counts travel companies, including GetYourGuide and Omio, among its customers.
Nina Zobel is chief commercial officer of Companjon.
Companjon, a specialist in embedded insurance, presented the opportunity for travel suppliers to offer insurance products to a panel of judges on stage at Phocuswright Europe 2025.
Nina Zobel, Companjon's chief commercial officer, took to the stage at the event in Barcelona earlier this month to share how embedded insurance can help drive revenues for travel companies and boost customer experience.
The company works with travel platforms including GetYourGuide, Trainline and Omio to offer travel protection to their customers.
Zobel also shared that the embedded insurance market is expected to increase by at least 4x in value to hit $700 billion by 2030 and said travel companies could have a "share of that pie."
One partner, she said, is currently experiencing a 30% growth rate with a "cancel for any reason" product.
Judges for Launch included:
- Guido Becher, global head of travel and loyalty, Rappi
- Manuel Hilty, CEO and co-founder, Nezasa
- Piero Sierra, chief product officer, Skyscanner
- Cara Whitehill, vice president, Thayer Investment Partners
As of February, 662 innovators had taken the stage at Phocuswright, collectively raising $12.4 billion. In addition, more than 500 companies had received funding, and over 130 had been acquired, according to Phocuswright.
