Meta's Muse has launched in Japan, its first market outside of North America.
The artificial intelligence agent is now available in Japan on iOS, Android and online at muse.ai.
The news coincides with Klook's announcement that it has partnered with Meta to integrate its offerings through Muse, which will access its inventory of 426,000 bookable experiences across 4,600 destinations.
Travelers can search for Klook activities and ask Muse to book their selection. With traveler approval, the agent places the order and directs them to Klook’s payment page to complete the purchase. Once payment is processed, Muse confirms the booking and saves the details in the chat.
"For over a decade, Klook has worked with local operators to bring a world of diverse and authentic experiences online, connecting them with travelers around the world," said Jakii Chu, Klook’s SVP of global marketing.
"Now, we're taking travel discovery to the next level with Meta's Muse, innovating together as travelers increasingly turn to AI for inspiration and trip planning. With a personal travel agent at their fingertips, travelers can discover Klook's breadth of experiences faster and with ease, finding options that match their interests and travel plans."
In its announcement, Meta said its integrations with global services including Stripe, Shopify, Trip.com and Agoda are available in Japan as well.
Meta said it is working to integrate other familiar services for Japanese users, collaborating with Mercari, the operator of the flea market app of the same name, household finances and asset tracking app Money Forward ME and Japanese ticket sales site Ticket Pia.
Muse first launched in September with flight booking available through a Duffel integration. Since then, Expedia and Cloudbeds have also announced integrations.
