Bookassist, a company which helps hotel drive direct bookings, is the latest to be acquired by Juniper Group.
Terms of the deal have not been disclosed, but Ireland-based Bookassist will join Juniper, an operating group within Constellation Software, from January 1, 2027. Bookassist moves from its current parent, software holding company Vertus, which acquired it in 2017.
Founded in 1999, the Irish company has rebuilt its services around artificial intelligence (AI) in recent years and strengthened its leadership team, recently appointing Don Cronin as CEO.
Joining the Juniper portfolio, which is focused solely on travel technology, opens up growth opportunities and access to more solutions for Bookassist's hotel customers.
Juniper has acquired a string of travel technology companies in recent years including corporate travel management platform Deem earlier this year. Last year it acquired Inspiretec, RezMagic, DerbySoft and InterRES.
"This is a turning point for Bookassist," said Cronin. "We've spent the last two years investing heavily in our technology, our use of AI and our leadership team so that we can deliver more for hotels, faster. Joining Juniper multiplies what that investment can achieve. Together with our sister companies, we touch so much of the guest journey that we can truly make a difference to a hotel's revenue and margin in ways that others simply can't."
