Marriott International has selected BookingPal as the exclusive technology partner for its Homes & Villas vacation rental division.
Homes & Villas by Marriott International launched in April as a competitor to Airbnb with 2,000 luxury rentals in more than 100 destinations in the United States, Europe, the Caribbean and Latin America.
With BookingPal, Marriott Homes & Villas will leverage the technology company’s connectivity platform, inventory management portal, reservation and payment engine, central reservation system and customer service portal.
“Marriott has a history of innovation, and BookingPal’s capabilities have helped us quickly establish our new home rental offering providing guests, including members of our travel program Marriott Bonvoy, with more accommodation options to meet their evolving travel needs,” says Jennifer Hsieh, vice president of Homes & Villas by Marriott International.

The ability for travelers to earn and redeem Bonvoy loyalty points with Marriott Homes & Villas has been one of the hotel chain’s selling points with its home rentals launch. Its competition in the luxury space includes Airbnb, which recently rebranded its high-end tier and added concierge services.
Marriott Homes & Villas works with property management companies including TurnKey Vacation Rentals, LaCure and Loyd & Townsend Rose.
Launched in 2013, BookingPal’s services for vacation rental property managers and owners also include channel management and distribution to online travel agencies. Its partners include Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia and TripAdvisor.
In March, BookingPal raised $12 million in funding, bringing its total funding to more than $20 million to date.
