Indian in-destination experiences provider Guiddoo has raised $800,000 in pre-Series A funding.
Singapore-based Rennie Ratadia, Dubai-based Stephen Dmello and India-based Angshuman Sarkar led the funding round.
With the funds, Guiddoo plans to reach new destinations globally, further develop its technology platform and expand operations and its product portfolio.
It aims to have operations in China by February 2019, as well as plans to build a pan-Indian distribution network for its tours and activities and holiday products.
Guiddoo, which started in 2013 as an audio guide app, has seen 700% year-on-year revenue growth since pivoting to the tours and activities business, Vineet Budki, Guiddoo co-founder and CEO, says.
“Securing fresh funding from our trusted investors, it has been an incredible journey. It is a reflection of our commitment to make significant contribution to the India outbound travel space by delivering innovative product enhancements,” Budki says.
