Connectivity is a critical issue as people travel, whether for leisure or for business.

Advances in mobile phone technology are now making eSIM service an option for more people, enabling them to stay connected without having to swap out physical SIM cards or to pay roaming fees or charges to a home carrier. 

California-based Celitech has created a service to help travel companies provide eSIM service to their customers – driving ancillary revenue for the companies and reliable connectivity for travelers.

In August the company raised $1.2 million in seed funding. Co-founder and CEO Al Fares presented the company during the Launch competition at The Phocuswright Conference, where it was selected as the runner-up for the People’s Choice Award.

After that presentation, Fares and CCO Rich Bratton stopped in the PhocusWire studio to talk more about the company’s services and future plans.
