Travel metasearch company Atta is enhancing its marketing and public relations activities in Japan and Southeast Asia thanks to a new injection of $3 million in funding.
The investors for the Series A round include Mitsubishi UFJ Capital VII, Mynavi Corporation, Nagoya TV Ventures, Sansei VI, Suneight OK Partnership, Suneight - PS1 Investment Partnership and 31VENTURES Global Innovation Fund.
Atta launched its app in July 2019 after a year of development.
The app leverages big data and artificial intelligence to predict future prices of flight tickets from 4,400 airports and room rates from 2.3 million global accommodations.
As of January 10, Atta says that it has provided savings of $1.3 million to travelers.

The company, which has offices in Toyko and Singapore, says it will use the funding to recruit engineers and increase partnerships in the region.
Says CEO Yoshihisa Haruyama: "We have received positive updates from shareholders, and we have continued to upgrade existing services and we will continue to develop new products that will satisfy travelers.
