LOYALTY: Ryanair’s new Travel Credit program gives travelers who book via Ryanair Rooms 10% back in flight credit. The credit can be redeemed directly against any flight purchases at Ryanair.com.
BOOKINGS: Following last month’s merger of Tongcheng Network and eLong, Wechat Wallet services have been integrated as well. The consolidation allows users to book Tongcheng’s air and train tickets through WeChat Wallet’s “Hotels” feature, or book eLong’s hotels through “Rails & Flights”… More here.
AIRPORTS: TripIt from Concur has added a new feature letting people know how long it will take to get through airport security. Through the TripIt Pro app, users will be able to see when to depart for the airport, the wait time at security check and how to get to their gate.
HOTELS: Choice Hotels International has debuted its new global reservation system, choiceEdge, a cloud-based solution designed to work faster than its predecessor. The new system, which has been three years in the works and cost the company tens of millions of dollars, will support more than 6,500 Choice properties.
DISTRIBUTION: BCD Travel has renewed its multiyear global distribution agreement with Amadeus. BCD Travel’s clients in 23 countries will benefit from Amadeus technology such as Selling Platform Connect, Amadeus Ticket Changer and Amadeus Master Pricer.
