Hotel comparison service Top10.com has announced Series B funding round of $8 million.
The round is led by Balderton Capital and existing investors Accel Partners, Forward Partners and Idealab are also participating.
Top1o (TLabs here), which claims to be driving $1 million in hotel bookings per month, uses review scores, location and price to provide customers with a shortlist of the best 10 hotels.
The startup also aggregates content from sources across the web including Foursquare and the major online travel agencies to provide customers with the best price.
UK-based Top10 says the funding will go towards boosting its existing team of 14 especially with engineering talent.
It is also eyeing expansion European expansion this year once multi-language and multi-currency support is in place in the coming months.
Mobile continues to be a core focus and the company says half 0f its traffic/bookings are already via the mobile channel.
