A fun Friday promotion brings an iconic skyline into sonic focus, as European roaming WiFi provider Fogg translates London's skyline into an audio/visual representation.
This "architectural music" is at the center of a creative promotion entitled "Soundcloud Without Borders" from Fogg Mobile. The company "provides a borderless internet access solution that will take away the headache of roaming fees or time spent searching for a wifi hotspot when traveling."
Cooked up by agency Perfect Fools and created by Stockholm-based producer and DJ Prova, the "Sound of London" mix combines to create a waveform representation of London's skyline.
Louise Sallander, marketing/PR manager at Fogg:

”We wanted to give a sense of London before travellers even stepped onto UK soil so we created an architectural piece of music that literally looks like the capital.
We think we have faithfully replicated London’s iconic skyline and also demonstrated how Fogg works to push beyond technological borders and bring an end to high cost roaming charges.”
Travelers can purchase a Fogg card, insert it before traveling and then benefit from a signal even when crossing borders, thus boasting the tagline "online without borders."
The red is currently available countries, with purple indicating countries up next for coverage.
The high-impact promotion is clever in its simplicity - nothing complicated, just a representation of the energies of a city covered by the company.
Feeling the pulse of a city is a time-worn tradition for travelers, and, even if the waveform is a slight stretch as far as accuracy to the sound, having a sonic representation of London is a neat way to promote roaming WiFi to both locals and travelers.
The company is offering a limited amount of trial cards on their site, with users being able to claim a card for a specific day in limited quantity. The track can also be downloaded here.
