South Korean hospitality tech startup ONDA has made a strategic investment for an undisclosed amount in Hoteliers.Guru, a Thai hospitality tech company.
ONDA said in a statement that the investment gives it “a strong foothold in the Southeast Asian hospitality market, and Hoteliers.Guru will work closely with ONDA to maximize revenue and improve guest experience for its partner hotels.”

“With the technology and market expertise of both companies,” said Hyun-seok Oh, CEO of ONDA, “we are confident we can supply innovative solutions that will lead the digital transformation of global hotels.”
More than 700 major hotels and resorts in Thailand use Hoteliers.Guru’s channel manager and booking engine, according to the companies. The Thai government selected Hoteliers.Guru’s booking engine “as a key digital solution to revitalize domestic tourism during the pandemic.” Demand for Hoteliers.Guru’s solutions is increasing rapidly as international tourism returns, the companies said.
Founded in 2013, Hoteliers.Guru said its mission is to “offer products and services that are affordable, reliable and most importantly intuitive and easy to use.”
“We are excited to welcome ONDA as a strategic partner and investor,” said Parkphoom Thamperakul, CEO and co-founder of Hoteliers.Guru, adding that the investment reinforces Hoteliers.Guru’s potential for “creating long-term value for our investors and the country we operate in.”
“ONDA is a partner who shares our vision for creating a sustainable travel tech industry that will enable us to accelerate the delivery of our business plan,” Thamperakul said.
Founded in 2016, ONDA operates ONDA HUB, a global distribution system, content management system and online booking solution; Hotel Plus, a hotel software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution specialized in room sales; Pension-Plus, a SaaS solution for small and medium-sized accommodation; and DIVE, a new SaaS property management system for hotels.
ONDA called Hoteliers.Guru its “key partner” in the Southeast Asia market. Both companies signed an agreement last August to “bring Hoteliers.Guru’s partner hotels and resorts to major online sales channels in South Korea through ONDA HUB.”
ONDA announced in January it had raised about $10 million as it closed its Series B funding, bringing its total investments to $25.5 million.
